1. Who we are
This notice explains how Nyiramana Florentine (ABN 91 653 561 235), trading as The Muslim Reset ("we", "us"), handles your personal information. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact us at support@themuslimreset.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile preferences.
- Content you create: salah logs, istighfar counts, journal entries, goals, reflections, community posts.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP, device type, browser, timestamps, crash and error logs.
- Support data: messages you send us and any attachments.
- Payment-related data: handled by Paddle (see "Sharing" below). We receive a record of your subscription status and a Paddle customer ID — not your full card details.
3. How we use it
- To create and operate your account and provide the Service (legal basis: performance of contract).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through Paddle (contract).
- To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).
- To improve features, fix bugs, and understand usage in aggregate (legitimate interests).
- To send transactional emails such as receipts, security alerts, and important notices (contract / legitimate interests).
- To send product updates or marketing only where you have opted in (consent — you can withdraw at any time).
- To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. See Paddle's privacy notice.
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring and analytics providers who process data on our instructions under written contracts.
- Professional advisers — accountants and legal advisers where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law, regulation, or to protect our or others' rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside Australia. Where data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent) to protect your information.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by emailing support@themuslimreset.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner — oaic.gov.au).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies required to sign you in and keep your session secure. We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. We'll post the latest version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
